Squeeze is a proud partner of Oslo Marathon
Massage can be an important part of race prep — reducing recovery time, staying injury-free, and easing sore spots. We're partnering with Oslo Marathon for the second year running to give you the best possible conditions in the build-up. As part of the partnership you get massage at member pricing across all 39 Squeeze clinics. Experience the benefits of regular massage up to 21 September.
Prioritise recovery to get the most out of training
In the run-up to a race, training load often ramps up fast, with many sessions on hard surfaces. One of the big differences between casual runners and serious athletes is how good they are at recovering. Alongside sleep, hydration, food and rest, massage can play a meaningful role — helping you recover faster, stay injury-free, and be ready for the next session, while also improving sleep quality and giving your head a break from busy days and the phone.
Anja and Gro Hammerseng-Edin
Anja and Gro have used massage as mental relaxation, physical recovery, injury prevention and self-care through their careers as professional athletes — and now in a busy everyday life. Gro even had massage written into her contract in the final part of her career. They want to inspire more women to run, much as Grete Waitz did in her time, by running "10 for Grete" at the BMW Oslo Marathon themselves. Going from retired handball player to 10k runner takes training and preparation that starts now — with more training and more massage.
BML running podcast x Squeeze
Daniel Kvammen and Andreas Grøgaard from the podcast Breaking Marathon Limits got in touch with Squeeze to loosen Daniel Kvammen's stiff hip after a heavier training load with many sessions on asphalt. The pain eased, with a bonus of better sleep and a mental break. Since that first session Daniel has had regular treatment at Squeeze as part of the marathon build-up.
